I developed an interest in arranging music, primarily for wind instruments, while still at High School and during my late teenage years, mainly because I played in a Symphonic Band and a ten piece wind ensemble (Kappa Wind Players). However, many years elapsed before I returned to this interest, when I became Music Librarian for the Auckland Philharmonia (Orchestra) for several years. This developed my skills to arrange pieces for full orchestra, including voices, helping my composing work along the way, and I hope this will continue for many more years to come.
